We've already established by now that our friend Setsuna Meioh is an incredibly cool and lovely lady, so you're probably thinking that she must be constantly plagued by handsome suitors and prospective lovers, right? Well, that's what you'd think, anyway... but it's not exactly the case.

Unfortunately, Naoko didn't really dream up a guy for Setsuna, despite the fact that she's easily one of the kindest, loveliest, and most interesting characters. Some speculate that she has a thing for King Endymion, but even if that were true, he's already been tied, bagged, and tagged by Serenity! So, in order to fill the void, we get to have some fun and come up with our own soul mate for her! He can be from anime, real life, or you can just make him up, but no matter who he is, just say what you think!

Fox Mulder

Serra says: "Well, I personally think that an interesting combo would be Setsuna with Fox Mulder! Mulder's way good looking, and he's also kind of a private person, like Setsuna, so they could feel safe sharing their thoughts and feelings with each other. And Setsuna sees and knows all, because of her time control powers, so she could help Mulder find the truths he's looking for! ^_^ Mulder's also open-minded (working on the X-Files would make him that way!), so he could easily understand and deal with Setsuna's unusual life as guardian of the Time Gate, and as a Sailor Senshi. That, and, admittedly, I've got a thing for David Duchovny myself, so if I couldn't have him, I think it would be totally fantab if Setsuna could have him!"

Skeeter says: I'm with Serra on this one... I can just see Setsuna with Mulder, and David Duchovny is one of my worst celebrity crushes. He's also got an incredible dry-humoured wit, and the kind of probing, persistent mind that could really get through to Setsuna's deeper side. If I can't have my very own Mulder, then Setsuna needs to have one.

Jean-Luc Picard

DragonLady says: "I think the perfect guy for Ms. Pluto would be... Cpt. Jean-Luc Picard. I mean, he's intelligent, wise, sensitive, experienced, cultured - without being snooty - levelheaded, and he's Starfleet's premier captian. But isn't he a bit old, you ask. No. She's what? Three billion, give or take an era. Picard is a spry 75. Plus he's flexible enough to deal with the fact that Pluto has an... odd job. Also, he's not clingy, he'd back off if needed and let her have her own space, which someone as introspective as Pluto needs. She'd be an excellent compliment to him as well - they share a love of arts, history, and recently, children. Their temperaments would suit as well. And of course, they both look great."

Skeeter says: Is he really 75? He doesn't seem that old to me, but the Trekkie in me never got around to looking up the official ages of the crewmembers. ^^; I definitely like the culturedness of Picard, though, and I think that fits nicely with Setsuna-san. :D

Peter says: "Doctor Who. Who else could really deal with the whole guardian of time thing? Okay, so he's hyper-allergic to aspirin--but he is a Time Lord, which might concievably make her job easier, and is extremely moral in most of his incarnations and he is sufficiently long lived to really get to know her even if he his at least partially alien. And, one the neat things about timelords is their utter immunity to time stopping effects (some third doctor episodes). He also has a great sense of humour in all his incarnations, even if it is somewhat eccentric seeming to patheticly short-lived earthlings.And every version comes with a cool british accent and total determination to the cause of justice. Hard to beat, I think. Of course, he could also arrange significant duration vacations for her since he can return her to the exact moment she leaves on vacation using his really cool car-er tele- er TARDIS. See? And they'd certainly have plenty to talk about if (as I'm given to understand) physics is her favorite subject."

Skeeter says: Well, who am I to argue with your choice of one of the great cult sci-fi icons? :D Doctor Who is a *fun* show... although the multiple incarnations thing would have to get confusing, even for somebody like Setsuna. But British accents are *always* a plus!

Hotohori

Lindzy says: "My choice is Hotohori from Fushigi Yuugi. Both Setsuna and Hotohori are wise beyond their years, not to mention extraordinarily good-looking! ^_^ They're both reserved and quiet, and share the common situation of being tied down because of their duty while they watch as the one person they truly love falls for another. No parents, lonliness, and unwanted significant duties plague their hearts, and I think them meeting up would really help them out. Especially having someone understand. Besides, Setsuna could probably get Hotohori to stop loving his looks so much and realize that there's someone out there that matches his beauty, hehe. Don't you think they'd be picture perfect??"

Skeeter says: Hotohori-sama! I haven't seen a huge amount of Fushigi Yuugi (about 1/4 of the way through) but Hotohori quickly became one of my favourite characters. Maybe it's because he's voiced by Koyasu Takehito? ;p Hotohori is a very cool character, and I think he does have a certain sageness about him that fits nicely with Setsuna.

Chibi-Astra says: "I think Setsuna and Souichi Tomoe would be a good couple. Why? He's actually good looking when he's not wearing those creepy glasses and laughing madly. Setsuna loves kids and she's close to Hotaru. Hotaru needs an understanding mother when Tomoe's in his lab. And Setsuna would be a teriffic mother to her! They both look cool in labcoats."

Skeeter says: A good pick, in my opinion. I'm a pretty big fan of Souichi myself, and he's quite the cutie in non-evil mode. In fact, he's a pretty ideal father and compantion in general, after he's been purged of that evil force-type stuff. A+!

Trunks

Animorph of Anime says: "I think Mirai no Trunks from Dragon Ball Z would be good for Setsuna! Besides him being totally kawaii, here are a few reasons:

1. Both are extremely lonely.
2. Both have out-of-nature colored hair.
3. Both travel through time.
4. They'd look good together, I think =-P "

Skeeter says: Interesting choice! I don't watch a lot of Dragonball myself, but he sounds like a likely candidate, and his time-traveling is likely to give him the kind of experience with the world that Setsuna would look for in a man.

Sailorstarcrusher says: "I know this is going to sound like I am the most insane person on the face of the planet (well, I am, but that's not the point) but I did a crazy fanfic about Setsuna paired with this guy it dawned on me as I developed the relationship how cute they could be together. Granted I know, well, not alot about this guy but he seems like he would treat Setsuna right. Okay, here's the name, brace yourself - Tiger's Eye. Yes, I'm nuts but they'd be so sweet. I know the Amazons are baddies but I can really see any of them treating someone that they really love like a prized possesion - especially Fish-eye. Tiger and Setsuna could have some real potential under the right circustances. At least I think so."

Skeeter says: I have to admit, my favor amongst the Amazon Trio has to go to Fisheye and his crazy cross-dressing adventures, but when I remember Tiger's "I'm so sick and helpless" act when he tried to charm Usagi's mother... well, he's certainly got a method for getting what he wants!

Cloud Strife

Rayna says: "I think that Setsuna would be a great fit with Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII. They both have their set of problems... Setsuna has to be at the Gates of Time which has to get pretty boring in the downtime. Cloud, well, not to spoil anything, but he doesn't have too stable of a life. He's a mercenary for hire and just travels around looking for money and jobs. He'd be able to drop into the Gates and chill with Setsuna whenever he felt like it. That, and they'd just be happy together."

Skeeter says: Our first venture into the video game multiverse! :D Cloud's a very popular character, at least out of those from the Final Fantasy series, and he's got that all-too-necessary anti-gravity hair that seems to occur in anime regularly. It'd be a fun pairing to watch!

SailorPluto316 says: "I think that Setsuna should be hooked up with Zechs Merquis/Milliard Peacecraft from Gundam Wing because both of them are mysterious and you can't predict any of their next moves. He is exceptionally cute and they would be a cute couple together!"

Skeeter says: OH lordy. I am *such* the fan of Gundam Wing (mostly for its yaoi potential, admittedly ::rotfl::) and Zechs is one of my favourite characters. But for now, I think I'll just leave off with a favourite phrase from my darling yaoi soul sistas: "Zechs rhymes with sex!"

Kaoru Miki

Jupita123 says: "It would be cool if Setsuna hooked up with Miki Kaoru, from "Shoujo Kakumei: Utena (or "Revolutionary Girl: Utena")". Miki is a really nice guy, although only in the 7th grade and 13-years-old, a little young compared to Setsuna. He's very open minded and might make Setsuna feel the need to open up her feelings and ideas a little more than she does at present. Both Miki and Setsuna are really smart and they could talk physics or something on their first date, getting Setsuna already to open up her mind to the unknowing world."

Skeeter says: You've hit upon another one of my favourite characters. I always thought that Miki-kun was the sweetest guy, although he'd probably be very shy about making the first move on Setsuna. He certainly has the intelligence and talent to make up for his youth and naivete, however, so this could go places!

Thea says: "While I like the Mulder idea because I tend to associate Setsuna and Scully for some reason, I have a better suggestion! *beams* Chichiri from Fushigi Yuugi. He's the oldest and most mature of the Seven Suzaku Seishi, a man whose outward personality is frequently humorous, but who has a painful past and is very intelligent and inwardly serious. He's the only one of the seven who is actually a mage (they all have supernatural powers, but the rest are more limited and less trained in theirs). He lives in another world, of course, but there's some contact between the two. ^_^"

Skeeter says: Man, you Fushigi Yuugi fans have a real scent for my faves, don't you? Chichiri also ranks right up there on my list (along with Nuriko and the aformentioned Hotohori) and I think his goofy outward personality would be just the thing to keep things lighthearted and cheerful between him and Setsuna.

Ryouga Hibiki

R D says: "I think that a good match for Setsuna would be Ryouga Hibiki from Ranma 1/2. The reason is that he would be a very understanding and loyal person. He should dump Akane she's taken go for someone who would appreciate him, and she might be able to handle both of his problems. (what I mean is his terrible sense of directions and his little curse)"

Skeeter says: Ah, the gender-bender antics of the Ranma series! I haven't seen much of it myself, but he certainly looks like a tough customer in his pictures. He looks like somebody you'd want on your side when trying to defeat evil and keep the world in order, so maybe there's hope for this match. And what's this "curse" thing anyway? Well, if anyone could understand it, Setsuna could.

Shuten

Amanda says: "I think Setsuna would look the best going out with Shuten from Ronin Warriors. I mean, seriously, they both are the most unique characters in their shows. They're about the same age, physically anyway. AND they both got a staff!"

Skeeter says: Well, judging from the images I found while searching the web, Shuten seems like a pretty intense guy, and pretty powerful too. Power is certainly attractive to some women, so that might help his case with Setsuna. And I certainly won't argue the uniqueness of Setsuna... I think she'd want an equally unique person to be her life partner. It's looking good from where I'm sitting!
