Death and DestructionRoger has defeated many foes with the help of Big O! Here's a few tidbits on who they've fought, where, and whatever else. (Beware of spoilers here!) DOROTHY-1When: Ep. 1 "Roger the Negotiator", Ep.
2 "Dorothy, Dorothy" In "Dorothy, Dorothy", we see Dorothy-1 attacking the city again, despite the giant hole in the unit's torso. This time, Dorothy-1 is being used to rob the city mint. The catch? R. Dorothy Wayneright is being used as a power regulator for Dorothy-1! So instead of fighting Dorothy-1, Roger must instead leap out of Big O to save R. Dorothy, thus shutting down Dorothy-1. SEA MONSTERWhen: Ep. 3 "Electric City" Big O tries to battle the beast, but it has a lot of difficulty with the electrical charges that the monster lets off, and the monster is moving too quickly for Big O to fire its helmet cannon at it. Then, Roger spots an old man rowing towards the dam. Big O manages to keep the sea monster occupied until the old man can shut off the dam, thus also shutting down the monster. MEGADEUS PROTOTYPEWhen: Ep. 4 "Underground Terror" GHOST MEGADEUSWhen: Ep. 5 "Bring Back My Ghost" Big O takes several hits from the Ghost's laser, but soon Roger realizes that the ghost isn't the real robot. He attacks the true robot, and defeats it, after figuring out that the "ghost" was just a laser projection onto the fog surrounding the bridge. KONSTANZWhen: Ep. 6 "A Legacy of Amadeus" Big O fights hard to fend off Konstanz's photosonic attacks, while Roger tries to convince Instro that destroying Paradigm is not his father's wish. Roger's efforts seem to be in vain, until Instro hears Dorothy playing piano from inside the old mansion. Instro had taught her that song, and this brings him to the realization that he passed his true gift, piano playing, onto another robot. He ceased his attack, and Konstanz fell, crushing the evil Giseng before he could attack Dorothy. SEA TITANWhen: Ep. 7 "The Call From The Past" The Sea Titan surfaces, and starts flailing about, causing a lot of damage, but not necessarily seeking to hurt the citizens of Paradigm City. Dan Dastun orders the military police to fire on the Sea Titan, and part of the slimy layer is blasted off, revealing a Megadeus underneath! Fortunately, Roger and Big O are much more powerful than the Sea Titan, and he has little trouble destroying it... and he does so, despite Angel's pleas to save the Sea Titan because of the memories that may lie inside it. PEROWhen: Ep. 8 "Missing Cat" Big O easily won the upper hand in the fight, and was about to strike a crushing blow, when Dorothy suddenly ran out and told Roger to stop attacking the creature, because the mind and spirit of Pero was actually part of the beast. The beast was a genetically engineered creation, and Pero had been integrated into it. Pero was ordered by his master to attack Big O, but when Dorothy held her hand out to Pero, he remembered her kindness, and instead turned on his fiendish master. BECK VICTORY DELUXEWhen: Ep. 9 "Beck Comes Back" The Beck Victory Deluxe turned out to be, well, a pretty lame mecha, all in all. Beck attempted to defeat Big O with several different devices that were built into the Victory Deluxe, each time thinking that he would easily win the fight. But, Big O defeated the Victory Deluxe so easily that it was quite pitiful to watch, and Big O ends the battle by ripping the head off of Beck's robot, and delivering it (with Beck and his henchmen inside, of course) to the military police. ROBOT BOMBWhen: Ep. 10 "Winter Night Phantom" Dastun corners the woman at the end of a pier, and she is, indeed, responsible for the huge robot, threatening to trigger her control device and detonate the robot. Dastun tries to talk her out of it, but when she lifts the control device to blow up the robot, Dastun fires on her, and the controller is destroyed. This allows Big O to finally lift up the robot and destroy it, by throwing it into the air and firing on it with the laser beams in its eyes. PLANT SEEDWhen: Ep. 11 "Daemonseed" Big O tries to sever and destroy the growing limbs of the plant, but even as he does so, the plant keeps growing and growing, faster than he can ever hope to keep up with. The plant continues to grow bigger and bigger, until it begins to crack the top of the dome, and then it suddenly stops! Dorothy arrives on the scene, telling everyone that the plant was actually designed to stop growing at a certain point, and on further inspection, the huge, horrifying plant *actually* looks suspiciously like a Christmas Tree. ^_- BIG DUOWhen: Ep. 12 "Enemy as/is Another Big!" When Roger encounters Schwarzwald again later, while on assignment for the head of the Paradigm Group, Alex Rosewater, Schwarzwald threatens to cause another Event, and then leaps into Big Duo. Roger calls for Big O, and then goes to battle Big Duo... finding out from Norman only moments later that Big O hasn't been re-stocked with ammunition since the previous encounter! Big Duo then latches onto Big O, trying to crush its head, and then Big Duo flies back and launches its remaining missles towards Big O. The missiles explode, but Big O manages to latch onto the edge of the dome, saving itself from destruction. Big O then gains the upper hand, breaking off Big Duo's arm, and using its powerful arm pistons to crush Big Duo's head. Roger tries to capture Schwarzwald, but Big Duo reactivates briefly, staggering towards the Paradigm Building, while Schwarzwald escapes, leaving Roger with a strange question in mind... "Do we control them, or do they control us?" FOREIGN MEGADEUS UNITSWhen: Ep. 14 "Roger the Wanderer" (also
appears in Ep. 13) The battle is a rough one, and Big O manages to hold its own at first against its two opponents, when suddenly, the robots release a THIRD unit, and the trio of foes easily gains the upper hand, eventually leading to the loss of Big O's arm. As Big O is being pummeled by the foreign Megadeus units, Roger goes through a sudden crisis of self, questioning who he is and what role he is meant to play, in this world or any other. After a seemingly surreal trip through another reality in which he is not remembered by anyone, Roger decides to accept the role of Negotiator, and the great responsibility and power that comes with it, and he regains his resolve. Big O springs into action, delivering a flurry of piston punches and deafening blows to its foes with its one remaining arm, until the three enemies are vanquished.
