6/1/01 :: A Plea To All Fans!

8/3/03: As you may have noticed, tonight was the first airing of thirteen brand-new episodes of Big O, so the voice of the fans was heard! If you want to keep the new episodes coming, be sure to tune in to Cartoon Network every Sunday at 11pm, and keep letting CN and SUNRISE know how much you love the show!

So, those of you who have been following Big O's release on Cartoon Network might have been shocked when you sat in front of the TV the day after the cliffhanger that R.D. left you with... only to have your hopes for resolution dashed when they ran the first episode over again!

Yes, it's true, Big O has ended... and not just in the United States, but in Japan as well. Those 13 episodes that were dubbed and released in North America? That's all there is, *anywhere*.

But don't despair, there is still hope for us yet! The creative team that produced those first 13 episodes of Big O in Japan have publicly stated that they would be very interested in creating more... and they just need backing from SUNRISE in order to do it.

SO, it's time to put the pressure on! By writing to SUNRISE, we can let them know that there is fan interest in seeing more of Big O, and encourage them to give the production team a go signal. North American fans can also write to Cartoon Network and Bandai, letting them know how much we appreciate and enjoy their Big O release, and encouraging *them* to put pressure on SUNRISE as well!

Remember that SUNRISE is the limiting factor here--they're the ones in control of whether or not more Big O is made.

And with this in mind, I heartily encourage you to visit the Big O support page at Anime Jump! to get some handy address information, so you can write to SUNRISE, Cartoon Network, and other parties that can help bring more Big O to the small screen.

And one more important point: in a letter-writing campaign, it pays to be polite. A kind, thoughtful, and swear-free letter will get much better results!

What else can you do to help Big O's cause? Well, you can hurry out and pick up Bandai's DVD release of The Big O. They're to be released in stores on June 19, 2001, and it's already available for pre-order on many of the best online stores. Reserve your copy now! It'll help you bide the time while you're waiting for SUNRISE to get moving on creating more episodes!
